Dimapur, November 7 (MExN): The GT/PT Selected Teachers 2012 resolved in its meeting held November 6 in Kohima, the apex body of GT/PT selected teachers 2012, have unanimously decided to stand by the resolution listed in the memorandum submitted to the Governor and the CM’s office (Education Minister) on September 19, that no further recruitment be carried out, until the case filed by B. Ed candidates, pending in court is resolved.
A press note issued by its information and secretary Nilloni Chophy stated that picketing of DEO offices was suspended till November 5 - the proposed court hearing day, on the appeal of various NGOs and civil societies. But keeping in view the continual delay of the case and subsequently, the appointments, the GT/PT selected teachers have decided to move into the next phase of action and calls on the same NGOs, civil societies for their assured support, as well as all right thinking citizens.
Also, the silence maintained by the Education Minister and the Chief Minister on the memorandum submitted after the peaceful protest march on September 19, is questioned. “No concrete action has been forthcoming, therefore the govt shall be held solely responsible for any untoward incidents arising henceforth.”
Candidates have been informed to attend the district wise house meetings on November 10 at venue closest and contact their respective convenors or the information and publicity secretary at 8575499082.
