Dimapur, March 12 (MExN): Hayithung Bill Lotha, an Independent candidate for 2024 Lok Sabha Poll, Nagaland has made an appeal to all “Lotha brethrens” to consider him “as their own and accordingly act in a democratic fashion.”
In a ‘Public statement Vis-A-Vis Lotha Community, Bill said, “I have come to know through reliable sources that some sections of Lotha community are vigorously planning to sideline my candidature and gearing up to bundle the Lotha’s to vote in ‘One accord & Unity’ for the ruling PDA nominee. Literally, these types of peoples want to ‘electorally coup’ the entire 130 plus Lotha villages in favour of one particular candidate.”
In this regard, he said, “This is democracy and in a democracy everybody is entitled to contest elections, seek for votes and the electorates have the constitutional fundamental right to vote in a free and fair environment.” “Remember I am “by blood in politics” and “calling and born to be in politics”; so I have to continue my political journey much beyond 2024 and since the year 2028 is not so far away,” he added.
Thereby, Bill appealed to all sections of “Lotha community that with a positive bend of mind and progressive outlook to let” him and his supporters/well-wishers campaign freely in Lotha area for smooth and peaceful conduct of 2024 LS poll.
