Mokokchung, September 2 (MExN): The four day ‘He Touched Me – Revival and Healing Crusade’ organized by the Sinai Ministry of Dimapur got underway at Town Hall here on September 1 evening which was attended by a larger group of believers, especially youths from different parts of the town.
‘He Touched Me – Revival and Healing Crusade’ organized by the Sinai Ministry was first held at the IMC Hall, Dimapur in the year 2008. Thereafter, it slowly spreading to different places; this year the crusade is scheduled to be held in Mokokchung, Dimapur, Kohima and Mon districts consecutively this September.
The Sinai Ministry (SM), which is a group of young Christians with its base in Dimapur, plans to hold the crusade, as per the direction of God, in all the eleven districts of Nagaland by the year 2015, said Wapang Longchari, the SM Director during the service held at Town Hall. He also narrated his life testimony about the physical and spiritual healing of his ailing father and also the many miraculous works done by God in his personal and also his family life. Next year, the Sinai Ministry plans to hold the same crusade at Wokha, Longleng and Zunheboto also.
The main speaker of the crusade Alemsunep Jamir dwelled on the importance of consecrating oneself in order to attain salvation. The youthful and unconventional preacher, who is by all means a powerful orator elaborated on the two ways to consecrate oneself – being reborn and not letting the mind to think like in the past. In this connection, he said that unless one is reborn, then simply going the church or giving tithes to the church would not ensure salvation. To be reborn, he said after quoting a verse from the Book of the Romans, one has to confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord and have faith or believe in it. He also said that to consecrate the self, ‘one should not to think like one did yesterday’, but allow room for changes in the mindset especially with regards to faith in the Lord.
Earlier the boarders of Agape Hostel Mokokchung presented a special number. Besides, the Sinai Ministry on the occasion of its fifth anniversary (September 1, 2006 – September 1, 2011) launched its official website www.sinaiministry.org which was dedicated by the Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo (DABA) Youth Director, Toshi. The crusade will continue at Town Hall till September 4, Sunday. The Sinai Ministry has invited everyone, both young and old to attend the crusade and be blessed.
