Dimapur, October 11 (MExN): The District Health Society, Zunheboto organized a Health Mela in Suruhoto PHC on September 29 and 30. Health services and medicines were provided free of cost to the patients. Altogether the camp administered to around 634 patients and a total of 57 blood test were done.
The staff official carried out IPC sessions (both group and one to one) on various topics like maternal health, child health, family planning. The people were also taught on household hygiene, safe drinking water and other communicable diseases. Leaflets and posters were distributed; a short documentary on HIV/ AIDS was also screened during the health mela which was an added attraction. The team of medical personnel was led by Dr. Akaho M.O. i/c Suruhoto PHC, Dr. Kanato MO i/c ARTC Zbto, Dr. Bohovi M.O. i/c V. K PHC, Dr. Hokugha MO Akuluto PHC, Dr. Nitovi MO from District Hospital Zbto and supporting nurses and lab Tech.
