Khezhakeno| February 7 : Bringing cheers to the populace of Naga ancestral village here, minister for health & family welfare Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu today laid the foundation stone for Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Khezhakeno under Phek district. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the setting up of PHC at Khezhakeno was notified in 2001 and it took 10 years to get it done. The minister said within 2 two or 3 years time, the PHC Khezhakeno will be fully equipped alongwith posting of doctors and ambulance service.
Also speaking on the occasion, Neiba Kronu, deputy chairman State Planning Board asserted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, the DAN government is doing lots of developmental activities in the state, be it roads, health care and infrastructures development. Stating that the NPF is growing, he called upon the people to extend their continuous support to the party and to ensure that the NPF secure absolute majority from Phek district in the next election for all round development.
The function was chaired by Lhouchinyi Ritse, chairman, Village Health Committee Khezhakeno while Pfuza Ketsu, vice pastor, CRC, Khezhakeno prayed for the unveiling of the foundation stone. Khalo Ladu and Vivotso also delivered short speech. Kedolhou Kachi and party presented folk song while C. Kemvu, chairman KBC Mission and K. Dikha, pastor CRC (Lower) said invocation and benediction prayer respectively.
Several dignitaries including Dr. T.L. Nakhro, principal director health & family welfare, Timikha Koza president Bar Association Kohima Bench, NPF youth president Kakuto Shohe, ADC Pfutsero Kewekha Mero, PS to minister H&FW Besupra Swuro attended the function.
