DIMAPUR, MARCH 5 (MExN): The Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Dhansiripar has issued an order restricting movement of heavy vehicles on a minor bridge located at Chainage 65.625 km near Razaphe village along NH 329A due to safety concerns.
According to the order dated March 3, the bridge was found to be in an unsafe and vulnerable condition following a report received by the office. Upon physical verification, authorities observed that the structural components of the bridge have significantly weakened, making it unsafe for normal vehicular movement.
The order stated that continued movement of heavy vehicles along the stretch could pose serious risks to public safety and further aggravate the damage to the deteriorating bridge.
Only light motor vehicles will be allowed to ply over the minor bridge at the specified location until necessary restoration works are carried out by the concerned department.
Any individual found violating the order will be penalized as per the provisions of law.
