Generations of bold Naga women
Denied any foothold
In the all-male bastion of politics
Never gave up or gave in
And today two strong women
Have claimed the spotlight
They dared and soared high
They kicked the door wide open
And surmounted the last bastion
In triumph, their names will be written down in history.
Determined and audacious
Their minds fearless
Their ambitions high,
They carry us into a bright future
Today we celebrate these trailblazers.
Write down their names in bold
Proclaim their names with pride
Their fortitude will always inspire
They will always be the ideal;
Their strength, essence and courage
Have rewritten the narrative
For all generations of daughters
And raised on their stories
Our daughters will step into the light
And the stories will continue….
