Nagaland Advisor for F&CS asks depts to intensify farmers-oriented progs
Zunheboto, July 6 (MExN): Nagaland Government is “trying its best to provide and meet the needs of the citizens but it is high time to too focus on self-sustainability,” said Advisor, Food and Civil Supplies (F&CS), LMCP and Taxes, Pukhayi Sumi while addressing the Zunheboto District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) held at Town Hall, Zunheboto on July 6.
The Advisor asked the agri and allied departments to intensify their sensitisation and encouragement programmes to the farmers in order to achieve a self-reliant and sustainable society.
Earlier, a DIPR report stated that the meeting began with a moment of silence in remembrance of departed souls lost due to COVID-19 pandemic. The Advisor mentioned the losses of legislatures, public leaders, government servants and others to the dreaded virus and also mourned and shared his personal loss as well.
The Advisor appreciated the Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto and chairman DTF, Peter Lichamo and members of the DTF for their contributions in different ways in the fight against the pandemic and also appealed to continue to work sincerely towards the society. He also expressed his appreciation to all the frontline workers, who had been working day and night for the safety of the society.
During the meeting, agenda on creation of Government Primary School at Lotisa old village; grand-in- aid for St Clare School, Akuluto; upgradation of Public Health Sub-Center to PHC, Satami and finalisation of LADP 2021-2022, Zunheboto, were thoroughly deliberated and approved by the house for further necessary processes.
