Nagaland’s Home Minister Imkong L. Imchen today stated that it was heartening to know that the peace process is getting momentum with the support of the various sections of people specially, under the banner of Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR). “The Naga people anxiety for peace is everywhere to be seen and the response of the present reconciliation call on the 29th February, 2012 is the demonstration of the Naga peoples’ desire for peace. Beside the Ceasefire Ground Rules, every effort should be put in so as to make such conclave a success,” Imchen said in a press statement today.

I want to ask the Security Forces deployed in various part of the state to relax their security frisking and checking on February 28, 29 and March 1 so as to allow movement of the delegates to the convention site at the Agri Expo, Dimapur and their return to the various destinations, he said. Further, the Home Minister hoped that “this gesture will not disturb in any manner the security apparatus in the state but contribute to the purpose of the convention.”
