Homely Furnitures receives National Award-2011

Dimapur, September 9 (MExN): Homely Furnitures, 7th Mile Dimapur, was conferred with the prestigious ‘National Award-2011’ for excellence in the field of Khadi & Village Industries as the best unit under PMEGP from NE Zone on September 2, 2011 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
President of India, Pratibha Devi Singh Patil graced the function as chief guest.
The award and trophy were received by Aolemba Longkumer, Proprietor of the Unit, from the Union Minister for MSME, Vir Bhadra Singh in the presence of JS Mishra, Commissioner for Khadi and Village Industries, Ministry of MSME, Government of India and other dignitaries.
On receiving the award, the entrepreneur said “I am pleased to receive this prestigious award and would like thank KVIC for providing me credit facilities for setting up the unit under its PMEGP scheme aimed at alleviating poverty and generating employment. Without its support I would not have achieved this success”.
Rualkhumi, Dy. Director I/C, State Office, KVIC, Dimapur, who nominated him from Nagaland,in a press release expressed her happiness to Aolemba Longkumer for making good use of the Margin Money provided by KVIC under its PMEGP Scheme and the award is recognition of the efforts of first generation entrepreneurs of Nagaland and it is challenge for others also.
