Chümoukedima, November 7 (MExN): Hope Academy hosted its first-ever Inter-School Futsal Tournament 2025 on November 6 and 7 at the Hope Academy Futsal Ground, bringing together schools from across Dimapur for two days of competitive yet friendly matches celebrating teamwork, skill, and sportsmanship.
Eight schools participated in the tournament, divided into two pools:
Pool A comprised Maple Tree School, Shalom Public School, Hollotoli School, and St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School Dimapur, while Pool B included Hope Academy (A), Livingstone Foundation International, Beanstalk School Dimapur, and Hope Academy (B).

The event opened on November 6 with a match between Maple Tree School and Shalom Public School, followed by several group-stage fixtures that drew enthusiastic cheers from the crowd. The semi-finals and finals were held on November 7, culminating in an exciting finish as (Winner’s name) lifted the Championship title, while (Runner-up’s name) finished as runners-up.
In her inaugural address, Sashizungla Ao, Principal of Hope Academy, underscored the importance of balancing academics with physical development. “We need to balance studies and sports together. Activities like these are essential for a child’s overall growth and development. Hope Academy aims to provide a great platform for upcoming sportsmen and nurture their potential,” she said.
The tournament also honoured individual excellence through special awards:
Golden Boot – Nungmeren Imsong (9 goals), St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School – Top Scorer
Golden Gloves – Hahao Chongloi, St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School – Best Goalkeeper
Golden Ball – Jisie Nyuthe, Hollotoli School – Best Player
