Hornbill Festival 2025 crosses 65,000 visitors in first four days

Kohima, December 4 (MExN): The Hornbill Festival 2025 has registered a cumulative footfall of 65,918 visitors during the first four days of the event, based on official data made available today. The figures include foreign and domestic tourists as well as local visitors from across Nagaland.

On Day 1 (December 1), the festival recorded 363 foreign tourists, 5,314 domestic visitors, and 11,154 local visitors, bringing the total to 16,831. The second day continued to draw large crowds, with 341 foreign tourists, 4,893 domestic visitors, and 12,776 local visitors, bringing Day 2 attendance to 18,010.

Visitor turnout on Day 3 included 283 foreign tourists, 3,604 domestic visitors, and 11,437 local visitors, amounting to 15,324. On Day 4 (today), 237 foreign tourists, 3,927 domestic visitors, and 11,589 local visitors were recorded for a total of 15,753 so far for the day.

The Hornbill Festival continues to be a major attraction for both international and domestic travellers seeking to experience the cultural diversity of Nagaland. With six days remaining in the ten-day event, the footfall is expected to rise further as activities continue at Kisama and various other festival venues in the state.
