Hornbill Festival crosses 1.5 lakh visitors in eight days

The ongoing 26th edition of the Hornbill Festival has recorded a total footfall of 1,57,071 visitors in its first eight days, according to data provided by the state tourism department. The eighth day of the festival, December 8, alone registered 18,481 visitors. This included 12,583 local tourists, 5,701 domestic tourists from outside the state, and 197 foreign visitors. The festival opening day saw an attendance of 22,508 visitors on December 1. The subsequent days witnessed varying footfalls: 18,010 (December 2), 15,324 (December 3), 15,753 (December 4), 19,286 (December 5), 22,786 (December 6), and 24,923 (December 7).
