Hospital beds & equipment worth over Rs 40 lakh donated to Zunheboto DH

The Association of 41 clubs of India and Round Table India(RTI) Trust under ‘One More Breath’ charity project donated hospital beds and equipment worth more than 40 lakh to the district hospital (DH) Zunheboto.

The inauguration programme for the same was held at DH Zunheboto conference hall on July 24 with Z Kasheto Yepthomi Class 1 contractor and the brain behind the project as the guest of honour.

The project was executed by 41'ER Samir Jain Vice Chairman 41 India Area 5, HT Pankaj Agarwal Delhi Amigos Round table 311 and TR Nitesh Bharech Guwahati progressive Round Table 238.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Zunheboto on behalf of the district, acknowledged 41 clubs and Round Table India (Under one more breath project) for their generosity in donating beds and medical equipment to District Hospital Zunheboto.

The DC also lauded Kasheto Yepthomi for taking keen interest in making the goods available and for personally requesting for the project to be implemented in Zunheboto.

He further highlighted the plight of the district hospital and requested them to continue helping the district and encouraged the doctors, nurses and medical staff on the importance of judiciously utilizing the goods received.

He urged the MS and his colleagues to maintain an inventory register to make sure that the goods available in the hospital are made good use of and also in order to know the requirement or shortage, if any.

TR Nitesh Bharech Guwahati progressive Round table 238 while highlighting the project said that their vision of ‘One More Breath’ brought by 41 clubs in association with RTI aims to provide 3000 beds in hospitals, oxygen concentrators across the country and transforming unused ward space to useful care centre in Nagaland Hospitals.

He further requested the district hospital authority to use the donated goods for the benefit of the people.

Z Kasheto Yepthomi informed that 41 clubs of India and RTI is an NGO spread across India doing charitable works across the country.

He added that when he came across the news that Dimapur was blessed through the project, he requested his friends to implement the same in Zunheboto as well.

He also spoke on the importance of COVID-19 vaccination and encouraged the gathering to have confidence on the district hospital doctors and nurses and avail vaccination.

He lauded DC Zunheboto, CMO staff, Sumi Hoho, Dr Aron DIO and Dr Shikato who, he said, have been instrumental in bringing the project to the district.

He further added that such projects can be implemented in the district even in the days to come for which the progress has to be shown and proper utilization of the goods needs to be maintained. 

Earlier, the programme was chaired by Dr K Shikato Sema SMO, invocation pronounced by Rev Dr Daniel Chishi Pastor ZTSBC and words of acknowledgement was proposed by Dr C Yanpo Kithan, Medical Superintendent, DH Zunheboto.
