Dimapur: A children’s funfair was held today by the Christian Education Ministry, Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo (DABA) with grand success. The funfair was held under the theme “Fun with Jesus”. Hundreds of children from all the eight fellowships, i.e. Lengrijan, Oriental, Lungmen, Yinsem, Signal, Town, Merali, Duncan gathered at the Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Nagarjan Dimapur playground.
Stating the popular proverb “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”, speaker for the day, Deena Wati encouraged the children to participate in the games while also glorifying the name of God. “We are here to enjoy. And while exploring our talents, let us invite Jesus in our midst,” she urged the little children.
DABA Associate Pastor, Maong Lemtor was present to officially inaugurate the funfair open. After the introductions, the children participated in several games and walked away with prizes. Fun activities and interactive booths were set up by the teachers of all the various fellowships.
Children were seen attempting to score prizes in darts, angling the bottle, mini soccer etc.
