I fear God, not diseases

Rev Suohie Mhasi

In September 6, 2011, I had undergone surgical treatment for Cancer in Bethel Hospital and as the Lord kept me alive and in good health up to now I conveyed my joy to Dr. Kezha again.

I recollected that for a while my ailment seemingly got cure after taking leaves of “Khranyhü shrub” it was published in Khristanmia dielie.

After sometime I found that the disease continued and since my family persistently persuaded me to go to Hospital, I had to comply with their advice and was admitted in Bethel Hospital. Before operation I was told,”Things to be obeyed are completely done.” After operation “completely healed”. So when someone told me that I should take cancer medicine I replied, “Is cancer more powerful than Jehovah?”

In hospital, a deacon from our church visited me and said, “Kepethau, you are too bold because you said that you are not afraid of cancer when you spoke in the church.” “I do fear God only, I am not afraid of cancer.”

God our Creator does not forsake us. By redeeming us he does not forsake us, He cares for us. So without the will of God no adversary can destroy us. I am not afraid of Satan. I am not afraid of cancer or any other diseases; God alone is trusted and feared. Anything which is detrimental to our health is a different matter and is to be cautious of. Otherwise we have to trust in the power of the will of God only. Trust in him and fear him only.
