As Eno Levi Avi informs me, I have come to know that the NNC Vice President Late Thepuse Venuh’s (T. Venuh) remaining skeletons are brought home by Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) recently on 26th April 2022, I give a last salute to my leader.
I was with him since April 1978. He was a Representative of FGN to Kachinland but he came back home in April 1978 from Kachinland knowing the differences among the Naga national leaders. For the last time, I was with him at Papung village, Heimi Region in June 1979. He sent me to go to Kohima to meet the elderly leaders of the NNC and FGN, saying; you are smart and a good leader of Heimi people. So, you should know very clearly about the Naga national affair.
He sent me along with Thepusuiyi, K Babasa village. It was unfortunate for us, while we were proceeding, the Arunachal Police personnel detained us nearby Khonsa Town, Tirap District, on 18th August 1979. Thus I could reach Kohima only in April 1982. This was after three years my leader T. Venuh who was killed in November 1979 by Muivah and Isak. He was beaten to death in between Papung and Waktham villages, along with Tatar Venyiyi Rakhaw of Thevo Pisu village. (Waktham - Khaplang’s village). The skeletons of Tatar Venyiyi Rahkaw were brought home on 10th December 2004, and sent of service was conducted at Local Ground, Kohima on 11th December 2004.
The NNC Vice President T. Venuh’s last advice given to Th. Muivah and Isak were as follow:
In the last meeting with Th. Muivah, Isak, and other Naga Army officers for the formation of NSCN, late T. Venuh Chakhesang, NNC Vice President advised Muivah and Isak, saying; “it is not proper and wise to adopt a new government based on socialist principle but to stand firm on NNC as it is the only authentic political institution of the Nagas. Moreover, it would certainly bring a great setback in the history of the Nagas. He further appealed to the house to reconsider the matter since the majority of the Nagas shall never accept socialism”.
But Muivah and Isak Muivah had no farsightedness to see the future problem among the Nagas and thus mercilessly killed him on November, 1979.
