IAF invites applications for commission as officers

Kohima, June 24 (MExN): The Indian Air Force (IAF) has invited applications from un-married male and female Indian citizens, for grant of Commission as Commissioned Officers in the IAF (Permanent Commission as well as Short Service Commission) in the Flying Branch, Technical Branch and Ground Duty Branch for various courses.

The courses for men (commencing from July 2014) are as follows: In the Flying Branch, for grant of Short Service Commission: No 14 Short Service Commission (14 SSC). In the Technical Branch, for grant of Permanent Commission: No 85 Aeronautical Engineers Courses (85 AEC), and for grant of Short Service Commission: No 57 Short Service Commission (57 SSC). In the Ground Duty Branch, for grant of Permanent Commission: No 136 Ground Duty Officers Courses (136 GDOC) and for grant of Short Service Commission: No 29 Short Service Commission (29 SSC). 

The Courses for Women (Commencing from Jul 2014) are as follows: In the Flying Branch, for grant of Short Service Commission: No 43 Short Service Commission (43 SSC). In the Technical Branch, for grant of Short Service Commission: No 57 Short Service Commission (57 SSC). In the Ground Duty Branch, for grant of Short Service Commission: No 45 Short Service Commission (45 SSC).

All the terms and conditions, the eligibility criteria and the application format / forms are available on the IAF career website: www.careerairforce.nic.in. Candidates are to apply only online on IAF career website. The last date for submission of online application is July 7, 2013. This was stated in a release issued by Lt.Col.
