Dimapur, December 16 (MExN): ICFAI University, Nagaland conducted "Road Safety Awareness Campaign" on December 15 as part of university social responsibility initiative at different locations in Dimapur district under the directive of Vice Chancellor, Prof CP Alexander.
According to a press release from NSS Programme Officer Dr. Imtinungsang Jamir, the team was led by Yeangao Konyak and Dr Imtinungsang Jamir, NSS Program Officer along with IUN management trainees and NSS volunteers took part in the campaign by interacting and spreading road safety awareness measures amongst the drivers and further pasting stickers on local taxis, auto rickshaws and distributing gifts for their services.
“The campaign was organized to instill the message of safe driving and obeying traffic rules amongst drivers of public motor transport,” the release stated.
Through this initiatives, the University encourages all stakeholders both public and private vehicles, motor cyclist and pedestrians to share the same responsibilities and empathy by implementing road safety law.
