ICFAI University, Nagaland celebrated its Fresher’s Day 2025 at the university campus in Sovima on August 20.
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 22 (MExN): ICFAI University, Nagaland (IUN) celebrated its Fresher’s Day 2025 at the university campus in Sovima on August 20.
The event, organised by the Student Council under the guidance of faculty members, was hosted by Shilukumla (BA English) and Kereineilie John (BBA).
The programme began with an invocation prayer. Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) S Borbora delivered the welcome address, emphasising the importance of holistic student life beyond academics and encouraging students to aim high.
A series of cultural performances were presented, including musical renditions by Roviche (MBA) and Lomitula (BA English), a dance performance by Sahana (BCA), and a group dance by Pooja & Friends (BA).
Freshers Jennifer Koch (BBA) and Avoli S. Yeptho (MA Education) delivered speeches.
The titles of Mr. Fresher 2025 and Ms. Fresher 2025 were awarded to Imtitoshi Longkumer (Department of Management) and Karuna Kumari (Department of English) respectively.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Grace Zhimomi, Literary and Cultural Secretary of the Student Council.
