IDANSB conducts CODE prog on endodontic retreatment in Dimapur

Dimapur, April 16 (MExN): The Indian Dental Association Nagaland State Branch (IDANSB) conducted a Continuing Oral & Dental Education (CODE) programme on “Challenges in Endodontic Retreatment” at Hotel Europa Inn, Dimapur, on April 14.

According to a press release from the association, the session was led by Dr Mukut Seal (MDS – Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics), who focused on enhancing clinicians’ understanding of complex retreatment cases. The programme emphasised accurate diagnosis, appropriate case selection, and advanced treatment modalities to improve clinical outcomes.

Participants were introduced to modern techniques and tools, including rotary retreatment files, ultrasonics, magnification, and advanced irrigation protocols.

The programme featured a structured schedule comprising registration, felicitation, lecture sessions, live demonstration, and a hands-on training component, providing practical exposure to retreatment procedures.

More than 85 dentists from across Nagaland and neighbouring areas of Assam attended the session, reflecting strong participation from the dental community.

The programme was organised under the leadership of Dr Longpuremen Jamir, IDANSB President, with Dr Arihant Jain and Dr Sevolu Tetseo as CODE Convenors, and Dr Neiphrezo Soriiinuo as Honorary State Secretary. It was supported by partners including Admetec and Coltene.

The association stated that the programme provided valuable learning opportunities and contributed to enhancing the clinical skills and confidence of participating dentists.
