IGAR (N) reviews operational preparedness in South Arunachal Sector

Kohima, February 7 (MExN): The Inspector General of Assam Rifles (North) Major General Harinder Singh Mavi visited Assam Rifles units deployed in the South Arunachal Sector from February 3 to 7 to review operational preparedness and the internal security situation in the region.

According to an official release, the visit covered an assessment of administrative effectiveness, welfare measures, ongoing activities, civil–military interface and the challenges faced by troops in their areas of deployment. 

The review was aimed at evaluating the Force’s readiness to ensure internal security and maintain stability in the strategically significant sector.

During the visit,  Maj Gen commended the troops for maintaining stability and urged all ranks to continue working towards peace and prosperity in the region. 

At the conclusion of the visit, he stressed the need for sustained vigilance and strong civil–military coordination to preserve long-term peace and security.

He also reaffirmed the Assam Rifles’ commitment to engaging local communities, building mutual trust and ensuring the effective conduct of forthcoming operations, the release added.
