IGAR to intensify ‘spot checking’

Dimapur, January 22 (MExN): Security forces will now be deployed in and around designated camps of the Naga groups to check unauthorized movement of armed cadres from the camps. The Inspector General of the Assam Rifles (North) informed of the deployment today and has appealed to civil society and the common masses to extend cooperation in this. “Of late the ongoing inter faction rivalry resulting in vendetta lulling and firing in the cities and town has dented the peace and tranquility of the state of Nagaland. Security Forces would be getting deployed around the designated camps of factions to deter the unauthorized move of armed cadres to and from the camps,” a notice from the IGAR (N) said today. “Security forces would be carrying out spot checking in the region to protect the innocent civilians. The stand of the Security Forces is with a basic aim to defer the unauthorized move of armed cadres from the designated camps.” The IGAR appealed to all the NGOs, civil society, Naga Hoho and the church fraternity to pray that sense prevails in the
Naga brothers.”
