Immanuel College holds PTA meeting

Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) committee, Immanuel College(IC) organised a PTA meeting for the degree students for the session 2019-2020 at the College Conference Hall on August 31. A press release issued by Akutu Poireng, Media Cell Convener, IC stated that the objective of the meeting was to maintain a better understanding and good relationship between the parents and the teaching faculty; to communicate to the parents about their children's performances and  academic progress based on classroom observation. 


The meeting was chaired by Temjen Longkumer Asst. Prof Dept of Education. In his welcome address, the principal, Th Sharatchandra Singh apprecaited the parents for their cooperation and also stressed on the importance of an effective parent-teacher partnership for the students holistic development. Speech on behalf of the parents was given by Sashimenla SJ's Hostel Warden and a speech on behalf of the teachers was delivered by Temjenzungla HOD Dept of History followed by an interactive session. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Natty Chang, (convener PTA) HOD Department of English.


The release also stated that new office bearers of IC PTA for the session of 2019-2011 are as follows: President- Th Sharatchandra Singh; Vice President, Sashimenla; General Secretary, Inaho; Finance Secretary, Abeni Muzhoi HOD Dept of Education. The elected members are Prasanjit , Wardingla and Kumchathung Humtsoe.
