
Kohima, August 24 (MExN): Imnatiba Jamir, Advisor Labour & Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship held a consultative meeting with Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police and Skill Council members of Mon District on August 24.
In pursuance for successful implementation of the programmes and policies, Imnatiba discussed and highlighted various matters where he also hinted on decentralization of the skill policies and formation of sub-councils to enhance the employment generation programs and mobilization of schemes such as PMKVY which is a flagship program under Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship also PMEGP under MSME for the unemployed youths.
Mon DC Thavaseelan K in his address highlighted the several challenges faced by the youths stationed across the country who are employed in the service industries and insisted upon the government to initiate certain support mechanisms.
Konyak Nyupuh Sheko Khong (KNSK) and Konyak Students Union (KSU) also participated in the meeting.
Meanwhile, with an aim to address the soaring rate of unemployment in the state, the NDPP Youth Organization led by President Kelhouneizo Yhome held a consultative meeting with the unemployed youths of Mon district at Mon town.
Imnatiba, who is also the Legislator in-Charge of the NDPP Youth Organisation, Nagaland as the special guest stated that means of engaging youths into government jobs have become scarce and that youths should involved themselves in other means of getting self employed.
He also mentioned that many youths at present have chose to voluntarily remain idle and unemployed and encouraged the youths to form construction groups by engaging the services of the civil and electrical engineers available in their respective districts.
