Yes:
• 100 % yes, Social media is giving false reality to the young people, Most people post only their best moments—filtered photos, luxury trips, perfect bodies, this creates an illusion that everyone else is living better than you are and also one of the most important thing is the capitalization of Naga culture and traditions that becomes "ceremonial without substance." Youth grow up seeing diluted or appropriated versions online, leading to confusion, weakened pride, and pressure to "perform" culture for clout, and with the increase of content creators in instagram the chase for clout will get worst and people will take extreme measures to gain views, there may be a good side to it but in my opinion the cons overweigh the pros.
• Attention span getting cooked
• Everything excessive is not good
• It has many negative impacts or affects but precisely: wastage of their time and it effects their mindsets.
• Makes them lethargic and lack concentration on important things.
• Social media can be very negative and depressing , youths are hooked on it. We do not know how to think anymore but listen to everyone with no truth in what they say. The youths have lost the ability to make judgments based on facts. Social media has denied family lives as everyone is glued to their phones.
• Yes definitely, social media addiction similarly compared to drug addiction is fragmenting our Naga youths. Anxiety disorders, depression, impulsive behaviour disorders etc among our youths is mainly attributed to the contents they consume on social media.
• Yes, the over use of social media is destroying the practice of social responsibility and accountability. The immense power that social media gives to influencers is unmeasurable, but when this power is used only for personal benefits and self-interest without keeping in mind the public welfare and etiquette it leads to abuse of power. Many young people who are misusing social media have become narcissistic.
• Yes. It is not only heave social media use, it is the unhealthy use of social media that is disrupting our society. Today, with no sense of responsibility this medium is being exploited by users. It is creating chaos and many negative trends in our culture.
• Yes. Social media addiction is affecting both young and old. This silent addiction is making our society sick in many ways that we have not realised yet.
