Common sense and humanity demands that, concerned citizens of India and Nagas speaks up for peace and solution with respect to each other’s rights and reasons on the basis of universal human rights. Concerns that there are distorting elements or factors complicating and confusing the general masses on the subject matter of national issue. The recent appearance of a man called Shambhu Singh of India as undue sandwich between goodwill Indian and aspiring Nagas is causing injury to the good pride and prestigious status of India and the integrity of the Nagas as an aspiring people.
Here I as a concerned citizen of the society would like to appeals the noble thinkers and logical leaders of India to uphold the dignity, maturity and fundamental principle of the Nation when challenged by its crook citizens. It is so unexpected to note that, a supposed agent of India Home affairs for Northeast region is displaying his sinister game-plan in the name of the nation. Any initiative undertaking in and for the good and welfare of the nation is expected to generate logical views and positive reasoning aiming at creating peace and harmony in the common society. Wondering if Mr. Shambhu Singh represents the views and stand of Indian nation. What is honesty and sincerity means to India? Can we build a mutual trust relation, solution and settlement for peace and justice within and among nations? Let us reason together on the current issue as surfaced by Mr. Shambhu Singh. Can India listen to all Naga factional representations in the proposed inclusive talk with a settlement in views? If yes, what sort of solution apart from the claim of the Nagas as a different people and nation from India can be brought about? If all factions are to be inclusive in the talk, why discriminate the other factions of the Naga people like NNC (Adino) ZUF, UNPC, UTLA, MNRPF, that are actively working as nationalists or insurgencies or whatever India may term them? The fact is that, when an agreement was established between India and Nagas, It was entered in the Name of NSCN without A.B.C of faction representing the voice of the Naga people. Moreover it was conditioned at the highest national level not regional affairs.
What happen to Indian minds? Is the present level and condition of talk lowered, expanded or neutralised to accommodate all the factions? If yes, will the talk for solution be a real solution or a sweet surrender? Suppose India accepts the proposed inclusive talk, the four opposing parties including India in the same level or table of talk will be like a bone thrown before the four contending dogs tussling for it. Where is the credibility and accountability of India as a world classed nation? What will be the talk point or subject? Where has the old talk principle between India and NSCN (IM) gone? Regarding the proposed talk of GPRN/NSCN and Shambhu’s response, on surrendering of arms and ammunitions, as condition for settlement with the GOI, what further argument is required if the talk is to be within Indian purview and constitution? All license or unlicensed arms in the hands of India can be legalised as per their will and power. Even Nagas can be indianised or classed as licensed Nagas when in their hands. If Nagas accepts Indian’s concept of three factions inclusive talks as trumpeted by Mr. Shambhu Singh, both Indian and Nagas will fall prey as mockery before the world as 2 idiots. Nagas factions as 3 idiots.
The truth is that, any discord or misunderstanding among the Nagas is purely the subject of the Nagas to deal within and among themselves not by Indian or any other nation or people. The recent proposed inclusive talk with the three Naga factions at the Indian table is but an act of dishonest and undue initiative. The subject matter should be referred to the Naga society and people. There is not a Question of favour or disfavour in the subject of concern. The truth speaks that Nagas irrespective of their habitation or location where they are remains Nagas as a people. Naga issue is the issue of all the Nagas be it in Myanmar, Arunachal, Assam, Manipur or Nagaland. It is morally wrong and criminal to oppress or suppress other people being. The Universal rights ensures justice and peace for all mankind on the basis of human inherent right to be free and lives as equal human persons.
It is views and concern that, the Present ongoing talk of the Nagas with the GOI is the direct concern of the highest level of talk without undue interference from any quarter or affairs. The go-in-between should not misguide or misinterpret or create views by his own observations, opinions or reflexions about the confidential subject matter. Humanity and civic sense demands that any notion that create confusion, discord or conflict should be shunned and forever avoided. Let truth and justice prevails on earth.
Appeals that Mr. Shambhu Singh know his limits and concern in matter of Naga political affairs and refrain from such interfering messages as published in some local daily which demean Indian prestige and stir up further discord among the Nagas. Moreover there is no logic at all for the entire Naga factional group to talk with the GOI. Any talk for Naga factional solution or settlement should be left to the Nagas as family matter. Any common Naga solution or settlement should be people based and decision not just the make up charter of factional demand.
