In the first match on the second day of the Inter Club T20 Tournament underway at Jakhama Village ground, Kohima, Pfuchatsumia Eagles defeated Tsütuonuomia Knights. With Pfuchatsumia Eagles winning the toss and electing to bowl, Tsütuonuomia Knights managed to score 127/10 in 20 overs. Kevihezo Solo scored the highest runs with 48 runs and Thejasetuo Solo scored 34 runs. Mhaphruoneizo took 3 wickets for the Eagles.
Chasing the target, Pfuchatsumia Eagles scored 128/6 in 19.4 overs. Petekhrietuo scored 44 runs (not out) and Razhulhoulie scored 26 runs for the winning team. In the match, Petekhrietuo for 44 runs and 2 wickets was declared man of the match.
Dapfhütsumia Cricket Club faced Elite Cricket Club in the second match. Elite CC won the toss and elected to bat scoring a mammoth 228/2 in 20 overs. Tapito Thupithor scored 90 runs in 35 balls, Imomemba scored 79 runs (not out).
Chasing the target, Dapfhütsumia C.C could only manage 112 runs with loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Kevibozo Kire scored 26 runs (not out). Sepichem and Vikato took 2 wickets each. Elite CC won the match by 116 runs and Tapito Thupithor was adjudged the man of the match for scoring 90 runs in 35 balls.
Organized by the Kohima District Cricket Association (KDCA) under the aegis of the NCA, the tournament will conclude in 27 with the finals to be played at Nagaland Cricket Association ground at Sovima.
