Inter school social work at Jalukie conducted

Dimapur, August 5 (MExN): With an aim to encourage the value and dignity of labour among students through social work, Peace Channel Jalukie conducted an inter school social work at Jalukie Town on July 30. A press note issued by the Peace Channel Desk informed that over hundred peace channel members from Baptist School Jalukie (B) St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School Jalukie, Baptist School Samziuram and Government Higher Secondary School volunteered to participate in the town cleaning mission.
The programme also inspired in the youth to promote cleanliness which is necessary for healthy living and sensitized the general public with a sense of love and protection for environment by keeping the town clean.
The programme was carried out under the supervision of Jalukie Town Council Advisory Committee. Peace Channel also expressed gratitude to L. Jamithung Lotha former SDO (C) Jalukie and Imtui Member Jalukie Town Council Advisory Committee for their generous support during the program.  Dominic Pfoze the district coordinator also thanked the institutions, teachers and students involved for their cooperation and support.
