Tuensang: Inter School speech competition was held at Government Higher Secondary School Auditorium Tuensang on May 14 under the theme “fostering scientific temper”. The programme was sponsored by Directorate of Science and Technology, Kohima and hosted by District Education Office Tuensang, I. Sashi Ao, DDEO Tuensang was the chief guest of the programme.
The chief guest deliberated on the meaning of scientific temper and how to foster on it and called upon the students to change in every aspect towards competition and be successful in future. The Head Mistress GHSS Tuensang delivered welcome address and the GHSS Thangjam students presented a special number. The panel of Judges for the competition were; Senti JEO DEO Tsg, NG Saha JEO SDEO Shamator, Takameren walling, Asst. Prof Dept of Botany, Sao Chang Government College Tuensang.
The competition ended with Vivi Kiho class IX of GHSS Thangjam won the first position while Yangpi Chila class X of GHSS Chaba secured the second position and Pushou Choba class X of GHSS Tuensang, Langpong class X of GHSS bagged the third position.
