Kohima, February 24 (MExN): The 6th International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Machine Learning, organized by the School of Engineering and Technology, Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, Meriema, commenced on February 24 and will continue till February 25.
The inaugural programme was chaired by Er. Bendanchila Longkumer, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The event was graced by Prof. Jagadish K. Patnaik, Vice Chancellor of Nagaland University, as Chief Guest. He delivered a recorded video speech as he could not attend physically due to urgent official engagements. He congratulated the organizers for hosting the conference and encouraged them to conduct more events in the future.
Prof. Sujata Dash, Program Chair, delivered the welcome address and highlighted the details of the conference. Prof. N. Venuh, Pro Vice Chancellor, Nagaland University, Kohima Campus–Meriema, delivered a speech and appreciated the School of Engineering and Technology for hosting the international conference.
Prof. A. Elayaperumal, Director of the National Institute of Technology Nagaland, spoke on the importance of AI ethics and the ethical usage of AI. Dr. Soumya Prakash Otta, Jurisdictional Director, Software Technology Parks of India, Guwahati, Er. Sabou Yashu from the Department of Information Technology, Government of Nagaland, and Dr. Soumya Chakraborty, Director of NIMSR, also delivered speeches during the event.
Prof. Sachinandan Mohanty, General Co-Chair, spoke about the 6th edition of ICISML, which was jointly organized by the School of Engineering and Technology, Nagaland University, along with the core team of ICISML. He stated that more than 1000 papers were received, out of which 249 papers were accepted and will be published in SCI and Scopus indexed Jove and PES journals and Scopus indexed AIP proceedings.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Er. Ayangla Jamir, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
