IRCS Kohima conducts first aid training

Kohima, October 29 (MexN): A one-day first aid training programme for members of the Junior Red Cross (JRC) and Teacher Councillors was organised by the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Kohima District Branch on October 29.

The event was held at the branch's conference hall located behind the Deputy Commissioner's Office, a press release said. The training session featured resource persons Noulevituo Zumu and Peteruokuo Belho from the Indian Red Cross Society, Nagaland State Branch.

The programme was chaired by Kuoliebeizo Mepfhuo, Honourary Secretary of the IRCS Kohima District Branch, who welcomed the participants and the resource persons.

Santu Thapa, Joint Secretary (Admin), addressed the gathering on the formation of the Red Cross and its seven fundamental principles, the release added. The vote of thanks was pronounced by Kezhachutuo Miachieo, Joint Secretary of the branch. The training was conducted for inducted members from five schools in the Kohima district.
