Nagaland Government websites, including the State’s official portal (https://nagaland.gov.in/ ), which have been fluctuating or mostly down for the last few days, seem to be back to normal operation on Wednesday evening.

Most departmental websites were not functioning normally, particularly during the last two days, when The Morung Express tried to access them.

Sources at the Department of Information Technology (DITC), which manages most government websites, attributed the problem to connectivity issues when contacted on November 29 and said that it is working to resolve the issue.

However, the problem persisted on November 30.

When queried on whether it was related to hacking or other malicious issues on Wednesday, an official at the DITC ruled out the same.

There were connectivity issues with the NKN (National Knowledge Network) and the problem has been persisting for past few days, the official informed.

However, it is now more less resolved and under constant observation, the DITC official added, when contacted Wednesday evening.

With the 10-day the Hornbill Festival kicking off from December 1, the issues assume importance as many travelers visit the government websites, particularly the Nagaland Inner Line Permit portal (https://ilp.nagaland.gov.in/) maintained by the State’s Home department, for travel permits and other information.
Some of them took to social media platforms to highlight the non-accessibility of the ILP portal, as well as the State’s official and tourism department websites.

The issues, however, are now more or less resolved and under observation.
