DIMAPUR, JUNE 26 (MExN): The Department of Fashion Technology, International University, Nagaland (IUN), organised the Fashion Artistry Competition 2026 on June 26 under the theme, ‘Where Imagination Meets Innovation."
The competition brought together students from fashion institutes in Dimapur and Chümoukedima, providing a platform to showcase creativity, innovation and artistic excellence.
The programme began with Thejaseno Chusi, Faculty, serving as the compere, followed by a welcome address from Inaka Sumi, Faculty. Rosou Rhi, Head of the Department of Fashion Technology, encouraged participants to pursue creativity, innovation and excellence in the fashion industry.
The competition featured participation from Centy J Institute, Multi Training Centre (Women Resource Development), V Movi Institute, Nagaland Fashion Institute, Dimapur, and International University, Nagaland.
In the Textile Printing Design category, Longshibeni Ezung of Centy J Institute secured first place, Thetsala Anon of Multi Training Centre (Women Resource Development) finished second, while Hainen Kath of International University, Nagaland, placed third.
In the Fashion Illustration category, Thepfungsano of International University, Nagaland, won first place, followed by Meribeni Emungrui of V Movi Institute in second and Khodulu Nakhro of Nagaland Fashion Institute in third.
As part of the programme, Durga Malakar, Joint Registrar, International University, Nagaland, delivered a presentation on the university's academic departments and programmes.
Prizes and certificates were presented by Roopam Bachhil, Registrar, International University, Nagaland, who congratulated the winners and participants and appreciated the efforts of the organising department.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Hitile Kath, Faculty, International University, Nagaland, expressing gratitude to the participating institutions, judges, organisers, volunteers and students for contributing to the success of the event.
