The Peren District H.Q selection committee expressing optimism about setting up the Head Quarter of the newly formed Peren District was fully welcomed and supported by the Jalukians.
Undeniably true to their long and final findings, there really is no other place more suitable than Jalukie erstwhile in Zeliang area for the headquarter, which is even now more or less the peoples’ head quarter except for the name only.
The promise that Jalukie land holds to become a District headquarter of Nagaland is spoken in volumes from the many favourable factors it has like the well shaped land topography suited for efficient Town planning, congenial climatic condition, abundant quality water and land resources, sufficient human resources from the town itself and the surrounding satellite villages, good location on the map of Nagaland, easy conveyance to the state capital etc.
Owing to it’s lesser undulating landscape, setting up of any official or residential buildings, construction of roads, creation of parks and recreation avenues etc. can be done at a comparably lower costs.
Realizing this fact, with a vision, prominent past leaders of the Zeliangrong people established the H.Q at Jalukie Town since 1966.
Knowing the eminent future developments for the common benefits of the Zeliangrong people in particular and the Nagas in general, H.Q does not mean for a particular village to get advantage but rather it means for the development of the entire community of that District.
Thus in conjunction, the Jalukians also express its appreciation and willingness to cooperate with the administration to the best for the utter satisfaction and success of the people of the District.
