Jamir to grace Tangyinn Aoyea festival

MON, MARCH 7 (MExN): The Tangyinn is all set to celebrate the 2nd Aoyea (festival) from April 11 to 13 at Longwa International Trade Centre, Mon under the theme ‘Tangyinn Reconciliation Aoyea At Large’ for greater Tangyinn with SC.Jamir, Governor Goa and Honchin, MLA from Arunachal Pradesh as the Chief Guests during the cultural program. Neiba, MLA, NLA will be the Guest of Honour during the closing ceremony informed Khoiwang Wangsa, President of the Clan. 

The committee has also invited the Department of NEZCC, Tourism, Information and Public Relation, Media, Art and Culture, Individual tourists from abroad, National and Regional to this grant festival. The coming together of the members and families from across the international and national boundary will be the best part of the program. The highlights of other program are folklore, sale and exhibition of crafts work, medical camp and many more. Members from Myanmar, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland will be joining in for the festival.

The release has also informed the volunteers from Longwa students, Executive members, Wangs (King), VIPs, College Students to reach Longwa Village before 10 April. 

The Tangyinn or hereditary descendent (clan) which spread over in the eastern part of India and elongated over to Myanmar, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland is one of the major kinfolk that are separated by an arbitrary boundary demarcated by the then British and Indian Regime. Once in every year under the banner of Tangyinn for Greater Tangyinn the members get together displaying solidarity, oneness and brotherhood during the Aoyea Festival.
