JCCV for Dimapur dist calls meeting on April 25

Dimapur, April 23 (MExN): In order to discuss further course of action in the ongoing agitation against the arbitrary merger of some 50 villages under Dhansiripar Sub-division and Urra area with the newly created district of Chümoukedima, the Joint Co-ordination Committee of villages (JCCV) for Dimapur district have called a meeting on April 25 at 10:00 am in Dhansiripar village Community hall.

JCCV Convener, LK Swu and Co-Convener, Tsithrongshe Sangtam, in a press release stated that despite having set up a committee and meeting the aggrieved party there has not been any outcome as yet to resolve the issue. 

All GB/chairman of the villages under JCCV have been requested to make it convenient to attend the crucial meeting without fail. “Sufficient time has been given to the Government to come up with the solution but there has been a complete silence on the issue which shows step motherly treatment to the people,” it stated. 

Meanwhile, the JCCV appreciated the State Government and Civil societies for their untiring efforts to facilitate Naga political solution and the problem of the JCCV may be trifle comparing it. “But JCCV demand should not be overlooked on the pretext of attending to the priority of Naga political issue,” it added.
