JD (U) to file lawsuit against NDPP

DIMAPUR, JULY 12 (MExN): The Janata Dal (United) on Friday informed that it would file a lawsuit against the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) for failing to respond to its official letter of June 26 seeking clarification on the claims of merger of JD (U) and the NDPP.

A communiqué from JD (U) coordinator (publicity and program), Mohammad Nisar stated that there is total confusion within the top ranks of NDPP over the merger. It alleged that while the NDPP president over a telephonic talk had stated that there was a little mistake in the press statement of the NDPP, the secretary general on the other hand; over Whatsapp reply to the general secretary JD (U) said there is no merger document with them.

Terming the confusion of the NDPP as a mockery of democracy, the JD (U) said this exposes the deliberate and unethical action of the NDPP and their total disregard to established principles in the functioning of a recognized political party.
It said the NDPP has intentionally exhibited their "selfish poaching tactics without any reservation and respect to the well-being of other political parties."

Towards this, the JD (U) said a legal notice will be issued through the concerned advocate within the shortest time.
