The recently concluded Platinum Jubilee Celebration of the Nagaland Baptist Council (NBCC) was indeed a historic and memorable event, and would linger in the hearts of each and every person who was part of the celebration.

The 2nd daughter of one of the worlds’ most celebrated preacher Rev. Dr. Billy Graham who herself is an internationally acclaimed Christian preacher, Anne Graham Lotz one of the main speaker at the NBCC platinum Jubilee in an exclusive interview with Lolano P. Khuvung from DIPR, expressed joy to the people of Nagaland for naming a road at Kohima (Billy Graham Road) after her father. With much delight she informed that she has taken the pictures of the road named after her father and assured that the photographs will reach her father.

Around 4 decades ago, Anne’s father came to the State capital spreading the message of God and she expressed her overwhelming happiness over the fact that the seeds sown are bearing fruits today through the Nagas. Agreeing that after the famous Rev.Dr.Billy Graham’s crusade held in Kohima in 1972 a bond of attachment between the Nagas and the Grahams’ family still exists she said that her father still holds Nagaland and the Nagas close to his heart.

“Just before leaving I called my father informing of my visit to Nagaland and my father said that he loves India because Nagaland is a part of it,” she added. She expressed her joy that following her father’s footsteps she could come to Kohima to provide spiritual support to the Nagas thus working for the extension of God’s glory and honour. She described Nagas as loving people and reminded, “Jesus loves the Naga people.”

When queried on what would be the one message about the Nagas that she would carry back to her father, Anne replied, “ The Naga people loves you and still holds you dear in their hearts, pray for them.” She further assured that she would definitely convey   Nagas profound love and greetings to her father.
