Johnian Song Fest 2011 on Sept 30

Kohima, September 28 (MExN): The St. John’s School Kohima will be holding annual Johnian Song Fest 2011 on September 30 at 1:00 PM at the school premises. Waichiba, additional director, department of rural development will grace the occasion as the chief guest.
The Johnian song fest is organized for the noble task of setting up a science laboratory and students library. The generous contributions will be made use for the procurement of science laboratory equipments and books to upgrade the library.
The vision of this project is to promote among the students, the skills to learn more about science and technology, discoveries and inventions. It is aimed at preparing the students for the future career who will be taking up science subjects.
The students will be able to get familiarized with science equipments and the usage of these equipments with practical knowledge. This will enable the students to acquire quality education and knowledge that will become the backbone of their future, according to an available source.
The aim of this song fest is to create student scientists who are bubbling with ideas and talents. The library will inculcate in the students that the habit of reading that will enable the students to equip them with creative ideas and will foster in them the value of reading, it added.
