Dimapur, November 5 (MExN): Joint Secretary, Home Minister of External Affairs Government of India, S. Shambu Singh visited Tuensang and had a public meting at parade ground Tuensang on November 4. He was accorded a warm traditional welcome by the people of Tuensang. S. Shambu Singh in his speech encouraged the people to maintain peace and harmony for a better tomorrow. He also said that he understands the aspirations and demand of ENPO but requested the people to be patient to see the success of their vision.
Earlier, the welcome address was delivered by President ENPO, Y. Mangko Phom. Speech on behalf of public was delivered by GB’s President Besu Chang. Vote of thanks was delivered by General Secretary ENPO, Toshi.
The programme was chaired by Vice President ENPO, Chingmak. People from all walks of life attended the programme. Later he also visited Tuensang village and had an interaction with the Council and public of K. Khel where he was accorded a warm traditional welcome.
