Dimapur, May 21 (MExN): Talks between the Centre and the NSCN (IM) seem to have ended on a “positive note” in Amsterdam. Both negotiating sides will meet in June to “explore a lasting solution” and as such next month’s meeting will prove to be “really crucial,” NSCN (IM) leader Rh Raising said this evening. Nothing definite or conclusive emerged from the just concluded talks but the next round of negotiations in June may signal a positive development, he said. The agenda for next month’s talks cannot be made public as yet, he said.
The venue and time for next month’s talks have not been fixed, MIP Deputy Kilonser of the organization Kraibo Chawang said. “It was decided that more frequent interactions between both sides should be taken up,” he said. It appears that the Government of India has decided to demonstrate its willingness to solve the issue, he said.
