Kohima, July 2 (MExN): The Kohima Chamber of Commerce & Industries (KCCI) has appealed the business community to strictly abide and adhere to all the SOPs and guidelines issued by District Task Force (DTF). KCCI acknowledged the DTF for allowing all nature/category of businesses to resume in Kohima.
“In the event leading to any form of violation of the same, this office will not stand to defend any erring traders/offenders for their act rather defaulting traders or shopkeepers will be penalize and their licence seized,” stated KCCI, President, Medozhatuo Rutsa.
It is pertinent to mention that following and obeying SOP and guidelines/orders will go a long way for unhindered livelihood/business activities. Likewise, all members have been instructed to co-operate for the greater cause of the business community and refrain from any act that goes against the interest of the KCCI.
Vaccination stickers
Meanwhile, any traders, shopkeepers who are yet to get themselves vaccinated are further notified to register for the same at the office of the KCCI. All members who have received their vaccination have been informed to collect vaccination stickers after paying their membership fees.
All shopkeepers under the Municipal Council are notified to follow Sanitation and Waste Management notification order issued by the KMC.
Every shopkeeper has been instructed to adopt and nurture the potted plants placed infront of their shop, under the Smart City beautification initiative.
Shops closure on Wed, Thurs and Sunday
It may be recalled that Kohima deputy commissioner in an order issued on June 30 in a wake of Unlock Phase-1 under Kohima district, stated that shops/business establishments dealing with all kinds of goods/ items/articles, including those dealing with essential goods and commodities such as vegetables, fish/meat vendors, milk booths, bakeries, local grocery stores are permitted to open from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM only on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
It also informed that all shops and business establishments except pharmacies, shall be closed on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
