Kohima, August 31 (MExN): The Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) today stated that its recent differences with the Assam Rifles (AR) have been resolved in an “amicable manner” following a meeting on Sunday.
The meeting was attended by officials of the KDFA and officers of the 45 and 13 AR, along with family members of the late Capt N Kengurüse.
After two hours of threadbare discussion, the matter was resolved, a press release from the KDFA informed, while expressing appreciation to the various district football associations for their solidarity during this period.
The Association further reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote football and nurture football talent in Kohima district and across Nagaland.
The KDFA had earlier declared a stance of non-cooperation with the AR over an unresolved issue concerning the 8th Captain N Kenguruse Memorial Trophy 2024.
