The Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) observed its 16th Foundation Day at Mhachaki, Byepass road, Kohima on September 3. KDVA was formed in 2005 with Teisobou Sekhose as the first president.

The members discussed the matter relating to holding of KDVA tournament this year and also hosting the Inter District Volleyball tournament. However, final decision is yet be taken in view of the COVID 19 situation.

Speaking on the occasion, Teisobou Sekhose stressed on the need to put a concerted effort to promote volleyball in the district.

KDVA president Visasielie Suhu urged the members to work in unison for the welfare and holistic growth of the Association and promotion of volleyball in the district. KDVA general secretary Neivikhotuo Vielie chaired the function.

KDVA founding member Visakolie Rhatsu invoked God’s blessing. Special song was presented by Athono Yhoshu while vote of thanks was proposed by KDVA treasurer  Keneilezo Sechu.
