Kohima | April 20 : The Kewhimiapfü Mechü Krotho observed its 27th annual session here today at the Kohima Village Local Ground, Ziekezou. Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, Vilhouzhalie Dzüvichü, chairman Kohima Village Council challenged the gathering to cope with the pace of changes taking place in the modern society. He opined that each individual has to move with the changing trends so as to find equitable position in this global village. He asserted that Kewhimiapfü also need to rise on the occasion in order to march together with the rest of the advanced society.
The programme was chaired by KMK president Khrienuo Mary Kesiezie while Alhouü Dzüvichü proposed invocation prayer. General Secretary report was read out by Nievozonuo Kire while Dr. Vibeituonuo Sachü read out treasurer report. Prayer for a new team of office bearers led by president Kenisede-u Yiese was done by Kereilhouviu Kire.
Women folk from four khels of Kohima village- Tsütuonuomi, Dapfhütsumia, Lhisemia and Pfuchatsumia performed cultural song and entertained the gathering. Vote of thanks was proposed by Ruokuotuonuo Solo.
