Kohima, June 25 (MExN): A pipping ceremony was held at the Conference Hall of the Forest Office Complex in Kohima on June 25 to honour the promotion of two personnel of the Forest Department.

According to an update, the ceremony recognised the achievements of Khrielakuolie Suhu, Range Forest Officer, and Kehusel Khazo, Forester-II.

The programme commenced with an invocation by Ngampie, UDA, Kohima Forest Division.

Delivering the keynote address, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Kohima, Dr Sevono Seletsu said it was the second pipping ceremony conducted by the division since she assumed office. She thanked all staff members for their participation and contribution towards the successful organisation of the programme.

Describing the occasion as a proud moment for both the department and the Kohima Forest Division, she said the ceremony celebrated the achievements, promotions, commitment and sacrifices made by the promotees in service to the department.

 

Congratulating the officers on receiving their new ranks, Dr Seletsu reminded them that the stars pinned on their shoulders symbolised greater responsibilities and expectations.

She encouraged the promotees to continue serving the department with dedication, integrity, humility and courage, and urged them to embrace challenges while contributing towards the progress and welfare of the department.

The pipping ceremony was conducted by Dr Seletsu along with Medolezo Kire, Range Forest Officer and Officer-in-Charge of Kohima Range, who pinned the stars on the promotees.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Vino N Tuccu, Assistant Conservator of Forests, Kohima Division. She congratulated the promotees and wished them success in their future responsibilities.

Tuccu also expressed appreciation to the DFO for her leadership, guidance and support and thanked all those who contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.

The ceremony concluded on a note of pride and encouragement, marking an important milestone in the professional journey of the promotees and reaffirming the department's commitment to excellence and public service.
