The 34th Annual General Session of the Konyak Gazetted Officers’ Union (KGOU) was held at KU Hall in Mon on December 6.
MON, DECEMBER 6 (MExN): The 34th Annual General Session of the Konyak Gazetted Officers’ Union (KGOU) was held at KU Hall in Mon on Saturday. Deputy Commissioner of Mon, N. Wennyei Konyak, NCS, attended the programme as the special guest.
Addressing the gathering, he stressed the importance of working collectively to create a wider impact on society and urged officers to uphold a strong sense of mission and responsibility. He said time plays a crucial role in one’s career, and the value of professional life is ultimately reflected in the contributions made during years of service.
Konyak Union president K. Yamao Konyak also spoke at the session, noting that today’s public servants are equipped with improved infrastructure and stronger support systems, enabling them to serve the people more effectively than previous generations.
The new team of KGOU office bearers for the 2026–2028 tenure was announced by Manhom Konyak, chairman of the Nominating Committee. The team, led by Er Tingten Moi-e as president, was dedicated with a prayer by Rev E. Yeangphong, District Chaplain.
Outgoing president Er Chinglang Konyak thanked the Union members for their support and cooperation during his term and called for continued support to the new team.
