Dimapur, June 27 (MExN): The Khezhakeno Village Council Hall was inaugurated by Kevekha Kevin Zehol, Secretary to the Government of Nagaland on June 25, the DIPR informed on Monday.

A DIPR report stated that Zehol appreciated the Department of Rural Development for funding and completing the much-needed community hall in the village and urged the village community to take ownership of the village asset. He also expressed gratitude to the Chilphufe Design Consultancy for designing and bringing up the council hall.

Razukhru D Vasa, Project Director, DRDA Phek expressed appreciation for the timely completion of work and highlighted the various schemes undertaken by the Department of RD towards taking up more income-generating activities. Vasa also inaugurated the registration counter at Chida Resort.

According to the report, Vekhrolo Koza, BDO Pfütsero spoke about various developmental activities taken up in the village.

Later, a community footstep was also inaugurated by Village Council Chairman Lhouchinyi.

The programme was attended by VCCs, Head GBs, GBs, VCMs, VDB Secretaries of neighbouring villages under Pfütsero, and a host of dignitaries, the report stated.
