Kohima, August 17 (MExN): The Kohima Liangmai Baptist Church celebrated Family Day of Prayer on Sunday in remembrance and thanksgiving of God’s grace and blessings.
Delivering the sermon, Pastor Rev. N. Silubo Zeliang said that “the foundation of a Christian home is Christ Centredness and a family should be build upon biblical principles reflecting God's Love which involves recognizing Christ as the ultimate authority.”
He also stressed the role of husbands and wives in raising their children to honour God. He further stated that “a Christian home should prioritize love, service and communication to creat a space of refuge, healing and spiritual growth in the family circles.”
The Family Day of Prayer programme was presided over by Rutmakbo. The youth department of the church presented a meaningful song as part of the celebration.
The programme concluded with refreshments contributed by Dr. Amankhai and her brothers.
